Q. Which is the best way to contact Reading and Writing for Results?
A. Feel free to phone or e-mail and Trevor Day will reply as soon as possible. He is happy to provide advice without obligation. If he feels he is not the best person to deal with your enquiry, he will suggest alternatives.
Q. Can you tailor your courses to my organisation and my colleagues or students?
A. Absolutely. This is the way Trevor Day normally works. He will discuss your requirements with you and is committed to tailoring course process and content to meet you and your organisation's precise requirements. For example, resources are fine-tuned to match the culture of your organisation and can include examples directly relevant to course participants. In many cases, pre-course questionnaires are sent to participants to help fine-tune course content and process.
Q. Once I've done a course, what then?
A. All courses provide follow-up material to help participants apply their learning in the weeks and months that follow. Any participant can receive advice, updates and further resources free of charge.
Q. Where are the courses normally run?
Courses are normally arranged at the client's premises or by the client at a venue according to their wishes. Reading and Writing for Results provides all materials for a course.
Q. What are the charges?
Reading and Writing for Results has a standard range of highly competitive rates, which may be modified in exceptional cases. A quotation will be provided at an early stage. Charges are based on a half-day or full-day of training plus standard expenses for travel and accommodation (where appropriate). Preparation and liaison may not, in some cases, be charged as clients almost invariably ask Trevor to return and run further courses. This can make it cost effective for Trevor not to charge for preparation, and he can pass on that benefit to the client.
Q. I am dyslexic. Can I benefit from one of your reading or writing courses?
A. Yes. People with varying degrees of dyslexia are participants on our reading or writing courses. They gain benefit and typically develop new strategies to raise their reading speed and enhance their understanding and recall. Further coaching, by referral in some cases, is available if appropriate.
Q. Do you work one-to-one?
A. Trevor Day occasionally does so. He negotiates the focus of any coaching session beforehand, agrees outcomes with the client during the session, and arranges follow-up assignments for the client to complete. Trevor works in a client-centred way, drawing upon his extensive background in NLP, counselling, and accelerated learning.
Reading and Writing for Results is flexible on ways and means while rigorous on outcomes. Trevor Day is committed to providing the highest standards of training, with follow up support so that learning is embedded and has long-term impact.
